Situated in Chengalpattu, Sree Renga Hospital is a 47-bed, multispeciality healthcare centre dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality medical care to the community. What began in 1992 as a humble two-bed unit, founded by Dr. K. P. Pichumani and Dr. Anuradha Pichumani, has grown into a trusted institution known for its patient-centred approach and clinical excellence.
For over three decades, we’ve been committed to addressing the evolving health needs of the region. As pioneers in the district, we've introduced several firsts, including comprehensive diabetes care (encompassing cardiology, neurology, nephrology, ophthalmology, dietetics, and fitness), dialysis services, laparoscopic procedures, infertility treatment, and telemedicine. We’re proud to be among the first hospitals in the area accredited by NABH and NABL, with strong adherence to digital healthcare standards.

Dr. K. P. Pichumani
Managing Director
Dr. K. P. Pichumani is a renowned diabetologist, visionary healthcare leader, co-founder of Sree Renga Hospital in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu and co-founder of Narbhavi Multispeciality Hospital in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. With over 35 years of experience in medicine and community health, he has dedicated his career to transforming rural healthcare—especially in diabetes awareness, education, complications and management. Under his leadership, Sree Renga Hospital has impacted thousands of people through rural screening camps and public health initiatives.
He holds a Master's in Diabetes Care from the University of Newcastle, Australia, Diploma in Family Health from Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute, Chennai, and has undergone training at renowned institutions like the Steno Diabetes Center in Denmark. His work has earned numerous accolades, including recognition from the Government of Tamil Nadu and the AHPI.
Guided by the words of Swami Vivekananda—“They alone live, who live for others”—Dr. Pichumani continues to serve with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to public health.


Dr. Anuradha Pichumani
Executive Director
Dr. Anuradha Pichumani is a distinguished OBGYN, Executive Director and Co-founder of two hospitals in Tamil Nādu, India (Sree Renga Hospital & Narbhavi Multispecialty Hospital Pvt. Ltd.) with extensive expertise in Healthcare Quality, Patient Safety, and Person – Centred care. Over the last thirty years, through her leadership, she has trained and implemented patient safety standards in public and private healthcare organisations, utilizing implementation science in healthcare transformation in LMIC.
She is a Board member of ISQua and ASQua, facilitating knowledge sharing and driving strategic partnerships.
She is an Associate Faculty at Ariadne Labs (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health). She has completed the Global Healthcare Delivery Intensive Program at Harvard.
She is a Principal Assessor, NABH – National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare and Chair of Quality Professionals Wing of Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO), India.
She has won many awards for her commitment to healthcare quality. Her research publications include topics on healthcare implementation, patient safety and the impact of climate change on health in BMJ and IJQHC . She is the Lead Author of the ISQua White Paper on Patient Safety for Healthcare Organisations.
